I went through every step and ended up in the control panel, but never say a place to enter the promo code. One page did offer me the unique IP for 3.95/

What did I do wrong? I don’t think I can undo anything because my credit card was approved.

I don't know of any promo codes that work for renewals of our Dreamhost accounts. And we can't sign up for new accounts because Dreamhost won't transfer over hosting of domains that have been previously hosted at Dreamhost to an account that was created with a promo code.
