Just registered for free trial service and wanted to use your code

DHPC1IP2DOM37 – One free unique IP, two EXTRA lifetime domain registrations and $37 off

I went through every step and ended up in the control panel, but never say a place to enter the promo code. One page did offer me the unique IP for 3.95/

What did I do wrong? I don’t think I can undo anything because my credit card was approved.

Any help would really be appreciated!

Hi Rex,

Yes, unfortunately it’s true. I don’t know of any promo codes that work for renewals of our Dreamhost accounts. And we can’t sign up for new accounts because Dreamhost won’t transfer over hosting of domains that have been previously hosted at Dreamhost to an account that was created with a promo code.

(and Charlotte, oops! I see that I somehow missed replying to your comment. As I just told Rex, I don’t think there are any Dreamhost promo codes that work if you already have a Dreamhost hosting account.

Is my assumption correct that there are no promo code opportunities for anyone that is renewing an existing Dreamhost site?

Hi Fred, That’s correct. Your best “value for money” are now the combination codes that give you features and somewhere around $50.

Hi Lensman, so is it now a fact that if I use any of your codes, the max I will get discounted by DH is $50? If that is so it is probably best to get the other goodies and choose a discount of no more than (or slightly more than) $50 ?
